The federal government established the Low Income Household Water Assistance Program (LIHWAP), a NEW emergency water assistance program, to assist families who are having difficulty paying their water bills.
In order to keep their service active, LIHWAP will help Ohio families who are behind on their water and wastewater bills. It can also be used to restart previously disconnected service.
A grant known as LIHWAP is given to Aqua on behalf of its customers. Learn more by viewing our handout
