The Town recently approved an upgrade to the water billing software in collaboration with the other municipal members of the Northern Westchester Joint Water Works.The upgrade has brought the bill’s issuance up to date and added an online user interface.

The Town of Cortlandt will re-levy all unpaid water and sewer balances on its upcoming tax bills in accordance with all applicable laws, rules, and regulations.Customers can contact The Northern Westchester Joint Water Works at for more information if they think they qualify for a Deferred Payment Agreement under the COVID-19 Pandemic statutes and regulations.
Residents can now access their water billing account via the internet to view billing information such as account balance, due dates, and water usage.Since the online system cannot handle account changes like mailing addresses or property owners, a user name and/or PIN are NOT necessary.
Through the new website portal, you can make an electronic check or credit card payment for your bill. A convenience fee for these transactions applyYour private payment information is not kept in the database.
Reminder: Residents may request to receive their bill electronically via email, with the following information included, in order to reduce the amount of paper used.
Your billing account number has changedPlease update all of your records so that we can properly credit your account.If paying bills online through your bank, you must update the payment details section with the new account number, which starts with two zeros.This will lessen the likelihood that your payment will be declined or posted to your account late.
