The “credited” date is the day on which your payment became effective, determining whether it was made on time and serving as the basis for calculating interest.
Your payment will be shown online as a transaction in your account activity and deducted from your account balance on the “posted” date (in the evening).
If you make a payment online, it will be credited and posted before 8 PM ET the same day (except on Saturday, when it will be posted in the evening). Except for Friday, we’ll post it between 8 PM and 11:59 PM ET on Sunday night.
Don’t worry: Your payment will still be received on time if you pay the minimum amount due between 8 PM and 11:59 PM Eastern time on the day it is due. The late fee will appear on your account tomorrow, but we’ll automatically remove it once the payment posts in a couple of days.
