Solid Waste Residential and Commercial Rates and Temporary Fuel Surcharge
The January 2023 to January 2026 rate plan was approved by the City Council on August 9, 2022. The plan includes a fuel surcharge starting in September 2022. The temporary fuel surcharge will be evaluated annually.
The following is the Residential Monthly Service Rate and Fuel Surcharge Fee:
September 1, 2022, monthly service rate $25. 80, extra refuse fee $11. 26, fuel surcharge fee $1. 54 January 1, 2024, monthly service rate $26. 80, extra refuse fee $12. January 1, 2025, potential fuel surcharge fee 27, monthly service charge $27 70, extra refuse fee $13. 28, potential fuel surcharge fee.
The following are the Commercial Monthly Service Rate and Fuel Surcharge Fee:
New water and sewer rates were approved by the City Council for 2022. On the average, water rates increased 4. 3% and sewer rates increased 3. 0%. The customer’s bill will rise or fall above average depending on their class and usage. Bills sent out in January will include this amount. Detailed rate information is available at the bottom of this page.
The city started a phased process of resuming the disconnection of water utility services for past-due accounts on March 16, 2021. Residents with unpaid accounts are urged to do so in order to prevent disconnecting. We can help if you need assistance paying your bill. A CASH ONLY PAYMENT KIOSK IS NOW AVAILABLE:
Walk-up customers can use our new cash kiosk, which is situated right outside City Hall’s first-floor lobby. The kiosk is open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, and your payment will be credited to your account right away. Currently, the kiosk only accepts cash, and any amount paid that is in excess of your balance will be credited to your account. To use the kiosk, bring your utility bill or have your account number on hand. You can use our outside drop box to pay by check or money order as well, but make sure to put your payment in an envelope. The drop box will be used to collect payments, which will then be processed as soon as possible. See the choices below for phone numbers and online payment links.
