On%20August%2019,%202014,%20the%20City%20of%20Mustang%20City%20Council%20approved%20Ordinance%201106%20resulting%20in%20a%207%%20increase%20in%20water%20and%20sewer%20rates%20effective%20October%201,%202014 This Ordinance also added additional fees, such as higher deposits, additional meter fees, and a capital improvement fee for all water and sewer accounts. Please review the list of new fees and charges below (“Utility Fees”).

Sewer Calculation is conducted during the Winter months annually. Your new rate will be determined by averaging your consumption during the months of November, December, and January (which correspond to your utility bills for December, January, and February). It is crucial that you send a copy of your repair receipt if you had a leak or line break during this time period so that we can consider an alternative calculation.

CONVENIENCE FEE

NOTE: Per Ordinance 1107 a Convenience Fee of $2. All credit/debit card transactions starting on November 1, 2018, will be subject to a fee of 50. The City of Mustang previously covered the costs of these transactions, but now the consumer is responsible for them. Due to their fee, the City will no longer accept electronic checks. Please fill out the Automated Bill Payment form below if you want to have an electronic draft made from your account on the “due date” for your utility bill. You can drop this form off at City Hall, send it via email, or the US Postal Service to the Utility Department.

Monday – Thursday 8:00a – 5:30p

Fridays – 8:00a – 11:30a

NOTE: To determine your actual cut-off DATE, please refer to your Late Notice. By 5:15 pm on weekdays and 11:15 am on weekends, any terminations or reconnections must be handled. m. on Fridays. Should you have any questions, please call 405-376-4521 Option 2.

UTILITY INFORMATION:

Optional payment methods include ACH Draft (Automatic Bill Pay), mail, online through the city website, in person (at the utility counter), and City Hall’s drop box, which is situated on the west side of the structure. We accept VISA and MasterCard. NOTE: Per policy, in order to request any information, you must provide the last four of the SSN associated with the account.

Starting the Service: A security deposit is required from each customer requesting water, sewer, and/or sanitation services. Security deposits will be applied to final bills. The City will not begin new service over the phone, e-mail, fax, etc. in order to provide protection against fraud. However, applications for utility service may be completed in person at City Hall OR online on the homepage of this website. Please bring a copy of your lease if you are renting the property. You must bring closing documents in order to establish service if you own property and there is an active account for that property. For same-day service, you must arrive at City Hall and submit the application by 5:15 p.m. on weekdays and 11:15 a.m. on weekends. Please make sure to close all of the house’s faucets.

Transfers: A $25 transfer fee must be paid in order to move a deposit to a new address. A transfer fee is only due when a customer moves within the boundaries of the corporation. Before requesting a transfer of deposit and service to a new location, an account must be in good standing.

Billing Cycles: The City has cycle billing in place and issues four monthly bills in cycles. Bills are due twenty days from the bill date. At least eight calendar days before the cut-off, the customer must receive notice in writing of the service interruption. Service will be cut off and the meter locked after the bill is thirty (30) days old. The bill must be paid in full and a $25 administrative fee must be paid in order to have service restored. A $75 chronic disconnect fee will be assessed if the customer’s service was cut off four or more times in the previous year. 00 shall be added to the customers utility bill.

Utility customers who are having trouble paying their bills may set up a deferred payment agreement, but only once every 12 months and only before the service is actually cut off. Before the day of the scheduled cut-off, customers must visit the utility billing office to sign the agreement. Deferrals will not be accepted on the cut-off day.
