Water, sewer, and solid waste services have a monthly billing cycle, and payment is due 10 days after the bill date. Water costs are composed of a base monthly fee and water usage assessed based on monthly meter readings. Residential sewer customers pay a base monthly fee as well as a usage fee for the average amount of water used over the course of the four months of November, December, January, and February. Until your own usage history is established, new customer use is based on the 4,500 gallon monthly winter average. NEW Residential Customer Utility Set UpNew customers can set up service by calling City Hall at (636) 639-2155 and selecting Option 2, or by completing the aforementioned online form.
New service requires a $150 deposit. The deposit is held until a two-year history of timely payments has been established. Deposit is then refunded as an account credit.
Every time a property’s tenants change, all rental and lease properties are required to undergo residential occupancy inspections. An Occupancy Inspection Application Form must be filled out, the inspection fee paid, and the inspection completed before a new tenant moves into a rental property. Residential occupancy inspection fee is $50. For questions, please call (636) 327-5101. Required Occupancy Permits for New Homes Construction Occupancy Permits are a part of the last inspection for a new home construction permit. Before moving into a house, a permit for occupancy must be issued. No Residential Occupancy Inspections Required for Existing Home Sales Existing home sales are exempt from the requirement for residential occupancy inspections.
