Here’s how to add the information to your payee list if you want to send an online bill payment to a new recipient:
- Tap “Pay and Transfer” after logging in to the Chase Mobile® app.
- Tap “Pay bills”
- Start typing the payee’s name by tapping “Add a payee”
- Choose a payee from potential matches or add manually
- Enter your Account number and tap “Next”
- Enter the payee ZIP code
- Confirm and choose the payee address
- Review the information to make sure everything looks correct
- Tap “Add payee”

Does Billpay send a check?
We send electronic payments to billers that accept them. We send a paper check by U.S. mail to companies that don’t accept electronic payments. S. Mail, which takes more time to deliver and process.

How long does it take bill pay to send a check?
Payments can typically be made within one to two (1-2) days for electronic checks or five (5) days for paper checks for all billers, and standard delivery is free.
Can Chase write a check for me?
Visit a nearby Chase branch and carry a legitimate ID. Request a cashier’s check from the teller. Give the teller the name of the person who will be the payee on the check. Remember, you can’t get a blank cashier’s check.
