For excellence in running its natural gas utility, Fountain Inn Natural Gas received the prestigious AGPA System Operational Achievement Recognition from the American Public Gas Association.
The natural gas utility worked hard to develop its capabilities, overcome obstacles, and win this award.
For exhibiting excellence in four categories—system integrity, system improvement, employee safety, and workplace development—Fountain Inn Natural Gas, one of the 750 members, received the SOAR level bronze award.
“Fountain Inn Natural Gas received high marks in each of the four SOAR-required categories.According to AGPA President and CEO Dave Schryver, Fountain Inn Natural Gas “consistently demonstrates a commitment to providing natural gas safely and efficiently to all those in their community and as a result serves as a model for all other natural gas utilities in the country.”
Additionally, the system was awarded a plaque for its accomplishment in running a natural gas utility system.
More than 9,000 residential, business, and industrial customers in Fountain Inn, Simpsonville, and Greenville are served by Fountain Inn Natural Gas.
