Explanation of Billing, Late Fees and Returned Checks
Payments are due and payable upon receipt. When an electric bill is considered past due and not paid within 25 days of the original billing date, a 1 5% penalty fee.
Any past-due bills must be paid in full within 7 days to avoid being disconnected. Within seven days of mailing the delinquent notice, an electric service disconnect notice along with a $10 delinquent fee will be sent to the address provided.
If the customer’s power is cut off for non-payment, they must pay the past-due balance in full, a $30 disconnect fee, a $30 reconnect fee, and a deposit if one is not already on the account. They also have to pay a $60 overtime fee for reconnects that happen after 5 p.m. and on holidays. 00.
Any NSF checks returned by the bank will result in an immediate $25 insufficient funds (NSF) check fee being deducted from your bank account. Members will be required to pay with cash, money order, or certified check for two full years after receiving two bad checks.
