Claim Filing

We submit insurance claims to all primary and secondary carriers for your benefit. We participate in most insurance programs. To confirm that your insurance plan is included, check our list of participating insurance plans or get in touch with our office. All co-pays are due at the time of service. We accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express credit cards. We ask that before your visit, you call your insurance provider to confirm coverage as insurance plans can change frequently.

Patients Without Insurance

We have financial counselors available for patients without insurance. Before your initial appointment, the counselors will go over and clarify the billing and payment process. Before visiting an ORA Orthopedics provider, a minimum payment of $200 is required.

Fracture Care Billing

Fracture care is billed differently than other clinical services than are offered. Similar to surgical procedures where follow-up care is included in the initial fee, fracture care is billed as a “packaged” service. We must submit our service claims to your insurance provider using the CPT (Current Procedural Terminology) coding format. The CPT codebook’s “surgery” section contains the codes used to describe services related to fracture care. This does not mean that you had an operation. It merely refers to how the codebook is set up for use by both insurance providers and doctors. Click here for a fact sheet on fracture care billing.

Disability and FMLA Forms

You can get help from our office filling out paperwork, such as FMLA and disability forms. Please sign the Authorization to Release Information and complete the patient section. There is a $20 charge to complete each form. When submitting the form, the fee must be paid in advance. See our list of forms that require a $20 pre-payment. Click here to see our list of forms.

Insurance Notification

Most insurance providers demand notification of hospital admissions, inpatient and outpatient surgeries, and prescription drug use. Please keep in mind that you must notify your insurance provider. Our nursing staff will assist you if necessary.
