Missed a bill payment and need more time to pay?
Setting up a payment plan will keep your water service operational even if you are unable to pay the full balance on your bill in a timely manner. Additionally, it will stop your account from being charged late fees.
Here’s how it works:
Select the number of months you’d like to pay (3, 6 or 9 months). |
Your Total Account Balance will be divided up into equal, affordable monthly payments. |
Starting with your next bill, you will pay the Total Current Charges on your bill plus the payment plan amount. |

You have more time to pay your account balance with a payment plan.
You must pay your Total Current Charges and the agreed-upon amount for the payment plan by the due date indicated on your bill. Note: Your payment plan amount will appear on your bill.
By dividing your total account balance by the number of months you’ve chosen for your payment plan schedule, you can determine the amount of your payment plan.
For instance, a $150 account balance on a three-month payment plan will be divided into three $50 payments.
You must comply with the terms of the payment plan agreement and pay the $50 payment plan amount for each of the following three months in addition to the current month’s Total Current Charges.
The payment plan is deemed broken, the account is deemed delinquent, and the account could be disconnected if the Total Current Charges and the payment plan amount are not paid as agreed.
Your payment plan will be fully satisfied if you pay the full balance, including any past-due amounts.
On the front of your SAWS bill, under Current Bill Summary, you’ll find your Total Current Charges. Additionally, it is listed on the reverse of your bill in the Current Bill Calculation section, close to the bottom.
Customers who qualify may use SAWS Uplift to apply for one or more of our 14 payment assistance programs. test!.
