The Town of Smyrna does not impose a convenience fee for debit or credit card payments. Our merchant vendor DOES charge a 2. 5% fee.

Please be aware that any accounts that are currently being collected for unpaid amounts must be paid through the court system and cannot be done so online.

There is assistance available if you need it to pay your water bill. In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Low Income Household Water Assistance Program (LIHWAP), a federally funded initiative, was established to assist households with paying for their residential drinking water and wastewater needs. This program will assist qualified customers who are having trouble paying their water bills at home.

  • The Tallatoona Community Action Partnership is the agency assisting. Please contact them at 770-817-4666 for more information. (Requests for assistance or approvals pertaining to a customer account are not processed or approved by the City of Smyrna.)

Through the Citizen Self Service Portal, you can manage or pay your utility bill online. Please log in using this URL to create a new account or access an existing one: https://portal smyrnaga. gov/mss/citizens/default. aspx. We advise tying the accounts for your main meter and irrigation meter together if you have one. For assistance with account access, please use this Quick Guide.

For the processing of online utility bill payments, the City makes use of a third party processor. You will be assessed a $2 fee if you decide to pay your bill online with a credit card. 15 convenience fee. The fee for e-Check transactions is $2. 75. Automatic bank drafts, online bill payment through your personal bank, mail payments, payments made in person or through the night drop are exempt from the transaction fee.

There is a $500 daily cap on payments made with credit or debit cards through the online portal as of May 2017. If your bill is more than $500, you can pay it using one of the following methods or the online portal’s e-check option.

You are able to set up a monthly bank draft from a savings or checking account. On the last working day of each month, your payment will be automatically deducted from your account. Your bill will indicate that you are a bank draft customer and will caution you against using any other payment method. You are always free to use a different payment method whenever you like. Please send written notice to our office at least five business days before the due date if you close the account being drafted from or wish to cancel the bank draft option on your account.

If you make payments using your bank’s online bill payment system, please include your water customer number from your statement.

The Utility Services office is located on the first floor of Smyrna City Hall (2800 King Street, Smyrna, GA 30080). The drive-up window and night drop are located on the back side of City Hall off Village Walk. Village Walk can be accessed from Stephens Street or Bank Street. Visa, MasterCard, debit, check or cash payment options are accepted in person or at the drive-up window.

  • Night Drop: Available 24/7. NO CASH PAYMENTS ALLOWED IN DROP BOX. There are two night drop locations. One is in the parking lot behind the drive-up window, and the other is just beyond the drive-up window.
