Payment Location
Utility payments can be made conveniently for our customers at 400 PORTER STREET during business hours, starting at 8 a.m. m. to 5 p. m. or by using the After Hours Drop Box. Please do not make cash payments in the drop box.
Pay your water and garbage bills online by going to our website for online payments. A $3 processing fee will be charged for this service. Ask your bank provider about their online payment policies. If your bank does not send your payment to us by the deadline, late fees may be charged. Some banks require up to 10 days to process payments.
The City provides electronic bank drafting service for monthly water bill payments in an effort to provide better service. This can be arranged by the Utility Billing Department. Complete the Automatic Bank Draft Authorization Form.
Customers can use a MasterCard or Visa credit card to pay their water utility bill over the phone. Customers can dial 888-630-1666 (note: a $1 service fee) to make a credit card payment over the phone through an automated line. The Automated Phone Line System will be charged a 25 IVR fee.) A $3. Water and Wastewater Service Information
Customers must get in touch with the City Hall Administration/Utility Billing offices at 400 Porter St. if they want to start, stop, or switch their water services. , from Monday through Friday, 8 am to 5 pm, during regular business hours, and complete a service agreement.
The City bases monthly wastewater fees for residential customers on the average water consumption for the months of November, December, January, and February. The three lowest consumptions are averages. Your annual wastewater charge is calculated using this average.
For an average to be calculated, a given account must be open for the full four months.
Up until the account establishes its own winter average, all new accounts will be charged the citywide average.
- New Service: May be done in person or online here. A copy of your lease or closing papers, a photo ID, a deposit, and an activation fee are required if you decide to activate services in person at City Hall. Requests after 3 pm will be connected the following day. Both a $121 deposit and a $31 connection fee are necessary.
- An inspection is necessary before processing an application if an account has not been active for six months or more. Please contact the Planning and Development division at 512-365-3863.
- Transferring services requires that you appear in person, complete an application, provide a valid photo ID, and bring a copy of your lease or closing documents.
- You can terminate or disconnect service by phone or in person. Deposits will be used to reduce the final bill’s balance. In order to receive the final bill and any potential refund, please provide a forwarding address.
- Reconnects: For same-day service, requests must be received by 3 p.m. The reconnect cost is $31 or $61 for an after-hours reconnect.

Water / Sewer Problems
Please call the Utility Billing Department at 512-352-2066 during regular business hours if your water service has been abruptly cut off and you are unsure of the cause. If it is after hours because of an emergency, call 512-352-3251.
Before water service can be restored after it has been suspended for non-payment of a bill, the full amount of the bill plus a $31 reconnection fee must be paid. If a customer discovers a water leak, a water main break, or a water quality issue, they should get in touch with the utility billing department. For sewer related problems, please call 512-352-3251.
Rates
Any water meter tampering will be reported to the police, investigated, and, whenever possible, charges will be filed in an effort to prevent losses in water revenue, service calls, and meter repair.
In Texas, tampering with a water meter is a Class A misdemeanor punishable by a fine of no more than $4,000, a term of no more than one year in jail, or both. Garbage and Recycling Pick Up Waste Connections (formerly Progressive Waste Solutions)
New service is started concurrently with the opening of your water account. Only garbage service is available to city residents who are not connected to the city’s water system.
Tree Limbs
Every resident of the City of Taylor who pays their utility bills on time and receives garbage pickup is entitled to a once-weekly brush pickup. Please limit the size of the brush pile to five cubic yards per time, and no limbs longer than four feet. the same day that your regular trash pickup, place at the curb. Bulk Items
Mattresses, couches, and the majority of household items can be placed at the curb on the day of your regular pickup as large items. No construction materials will be picked up. Carpet must be cut into manageable pieces to be discarded. Any item containing Freon won’t be picked up until the Freon has been taken out and a tag confirming this has been attached.

City of Taylor Recycling
For single-family residences participating in the city’s trash collection program at the moment
- The blue 95-gallon recycling containers will only be emptied every other week, as opposed to the regular trash pickup, which occurs every week.
