Each month, utility meters are read around the 10th, and bills are sent out about a week later.
Every month, on or before the 10th, current payments are required unless the 10th falls on a non-business day. The third of every month, unless it falls on a Thursday, Friday, or non-business day, is when you must pay any past-due sums. If so, prior payments are required the following business day. The following day, on the fourth of the month, service will be terminated. To find out when your previous payment is due, you must check your bill.
All payments must be received by 5:00 PM. Any payment made after 5:00 PM will be applied to the following business day and, if applicable, subject to that day’s penalties. If you are paying a previous amount, this is especially crucial to do in order to prevent being disconnected for nonpayment.
Your bill serves as a notice and warning that your service could be disconnected for nonpayment. You will be disconnected for nonpayment without further notice if your payment is not received by 5:00 PM on the day your previous amount is due. Your entire account balance plus a $60 processing fee must be paid in full to be reconnected. 00 delinquent fee. This delinquent fee will not be waived. The Town of Norwood will not extend the payment deadline for previous sums.
