Sewer RatesThe residential sewer rate is $500 every other month.
The cost of maintaining and repairing the County’s sanitary sewer system and its more than 70 pump stations, as well as the capital improvement costs required to satisfy the conditions of the Hampton Roads Regional Consent Order signed with the Commonwealth of Virginia’s Department of Environmental Quality, and which became effective on September 26, 2007, are factored into sewer maintenance rates.
